Silk fibre or top comes in two different variations: Mulberry which can be called Bombyx also or Tussah. In both cases, the silk is produced into coccons by the silk worm, but the worms are slightly different and they eat different things. Mulberry silk is creamy, fine and longer fibre filiments; it is the most lustrous and comes from the worm eating Mulberry leaves. Tussah is a honey colour. The fibre is shorter and coarser. Although it is still very lustrous, Tussah is more matte than Mulberry silk.
